Meet the Team
Dr. Kristi Conner, Audiologist
Dr. Kristi Conner is the owner of Sound Hearing Solutions. She received both her bachelor’s and doctorate degrees from Ball State University.
During her time at Ball State, Dr. Conner received the DiLorenzo Research Award for her research on the use of classroom amplification. She also served on the board of the National Association of Future Doctors of Audiology (NAFDA).
Dr. Conner is a member of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA) and she is board certified by the American Board of Audiology (ABA).
Dr. Conner believes in individualized hearing health care and she is committed to meeting each individual patient’s specific needs. In addition to providing exceptional care to her patients, Dr. Conner also spends time educating the community on the prevention and treatment of hearing loss.
In her spare time, Dr. Conner enjoys spending time with her husband and their two sons.
Dr. Emily Miklusak, Audiologist
Dr. Emily Miklusak graduated from Ball State University in May 2024 with her doctorate degree in Audiology. She received her undergraduate degree in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences from Purdue University in 2020. Dr. Miklusak currently resides in the south side of Indianapolis, but is native to Northwest Indiana (Dyer, IN).
Outside of her academic pursuits, she enjoys to travel and spending time with her fiancé Dax and their golden retriever, Potato. Dr. Miklusak is excited to help Columbus and the surrounding areas improve their hearing health.
Shauna Fleenor, Office Manager
Shauna Fleenor is a 2013 graduate from Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis with a Bachelor’s degree in History.
She has been working for Sound Hearing Solutions since May 2016. Originally from Greensburg, IN she currently resides in Columbus with her husband Andrew and pet Corgi, Mountbatten. In her spare time Shauna enjoys taking pictures, doing craft projects and spending time with her family.
Over the years Shauna has gained experience working at the front desk as our Patient Relations Coordinator and completed the Audiologist’s Assistant Program in 2018. This knowledge has led to Shauna being able to tackle not only front desk issues but hearing aid related issues as well.
Layla Sanders, Patient Relations Specialist
Layla is a life long resident of Columbus, IN. She is a current student at IU Columbus majoring in sociology. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, walking and playing with her pets.
